The Foundation course is crafted to give you with the groundwork upon which to develop and nurture your compositional talent.
During this program, you will explore composition, traditional harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, applied music to images, modern harmony, ear training, and music technology for the proficient use of virtual orchestras.
Upon completion of the Foundation course, you will be eligible to enroll in Bachelor course in composition and applied music.

Composition, Film Scoring, and Applied Music Bachelor courses are recognized by MUR (Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research).
Within the Bachelor courses program, you have the option to choose between two tracks.
Composition and Film Scoring: this course is designed to prepare you for a career as a film music composer. You will enhance both your creative and technical compositional skills, unique feature in Italy, with access to musical ensembles ranging from string quartets to saxophone quintets, all the way up to the Beethovenian symphony orchestra. These ensembles serve for the evaluation, performance, and direction of your compositions.
Applied Music: this specialization focuses on training professionals capable of offering compositional support to the media and entertainment industries, from film to television, gaming, drama, musicals, and communication.
MASTER COURSES

Applied Music: Through this course, you can become a specialist in the musical language of gaming, advertising, and various other areas within the media and entertainment industry.

Saint Louis has four locations in Rome and one in Milan, all equipped with soundproof classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and studios. In Rome, they are situated in the Monti district, known for its cafes and live music venues. The Milan branch, located near Bovisa and Isola, is positioned within a creative hub featuring teaching spaces and hosting events.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Saint Louis organizes international music events and participates in the Erasmus+ program. It is also an incubator of new Projects promoting International growth and confrontaation.

Saint Louis is the only High Education Music Institute in Italy working on the constant production of live events featuring its students. We believe in the practical learning on real stages, involving sound engineers, composers and applied music. And we put all our energies in that.
